Mustang All Star Tryout #2 (Johnson St, Field #4)

Description

Mustang Division player tryouts for the All Star team will be Wednesday, 5/17 from 6:30pm until 8:30pm Field #4, (Johnson Street Complex), Friday, 05/19 at 6:30pm to 8:30pm (Field 4) and Sunday, 05/21/23 from 6pm to 8pm (Field 4).

All Mustang players are eligible, encouraged and invited to try out for the All Star team. To be considered for the all-star team, 

a player must attend one of the all-star tryouts listed above
a player must have played in 1/2 of his Mustang division team’s games.
Upon selection to the team a player must provide a birth certificate to show proof of age and pay a $125 All Star registration fee.

The All Star team is a big commitment. It is important to the team’s success that players attend all practices and tournaments.  There is no guarantee playing time as in the regular season.

The team will play in at least one weekend tournament and play in the Pony Mustang 10u tournament at High Point Pony 07/13/23-07/15/23.  Should the 10u team advance, the next Pony Mustang 10u tournament is in Chesterfield, Virginia, 07/20/23-07/22/23.  The 10u World Series is 07/28/2023-07/31/23 in Youngsville, Louisiana.

The All Star team is selected by the division managers voting for the top 8 players. The top 8 players, as voted by division managers, will make the team. The All Star manager and division commissioner will select the remaining 4-6 members of the team. 

The 10u team head coach is Jacobe Humphries (Diamondbacks Coach). Depending on player interest and talent there could potentially be two All Star teams.  If there is enough for two teams, another coach will be nominated to the Board of Directors for consideration.

There is a mandatory parent meeting before each evaluation.  I look forward to see a large turnout for All Stars. Thank you for your time and consideration.
